Levoit Dual 200S Humidifier Ratings Breakdown
Humidification Performance 8.5
Although this Levoit dual 200s has many great features, its humidification performance is a bit below the average. Overall, it is a good humidifier for small to medium rooms, but not large rooms.
In my tests, it demonstrated a moderate output of 147ml per hour and effectively raised humidity from 42% to 49.6% in an hour in a 160 sq. ft. room. But It is not as powerful as some powerful ones, such as Vorndao EVDC500, which has an output of 250ml.
Ease Of Cleaning 9.5
While it seems to have more components than many simple humidifiers on the market, each component is easy to disassemble, allowing for straightforward cleaning.
Though an ultrasonic model, this Levoit humidifier includes a filter that helps minimize mineral residue. However, I recommend daily tank emptying and weekly cleaning, as neglecting water change for over a week led to odor development in my experience.
The filter, located in the tank, could contribute to this smell if not regularly cleaned or replaced. Fortunately, replacements are affordable.
Noise Level 10
The quiet operation of this humidifier is a standout feature. I barely notice it while working or sleeping, thanks to its extremely low noise levels of only 37.2dB on High mist and 35.9dB on Low mist.

What Set This Levoit Dual 200S humidifier Apart?
Top Fill Design
Changing the water every day is recommended to prevent mold and bacteria growth, though I know many tend to skip this step.
The top-fill design of this particular model makes refilling less of a chore. I just remove the large cover and pour water straight in, being mindful not to splash the mist tube in the middle.
This simple yet smart design has saved me so much effort and time, making the daily refill process surprisingly hassle-free.
It is a smart humidifier
Even if it has a relatively low price tag, it is a smart humidifier!
Levoit has developed an APP for controlling their products called VeSync.Once you connect this 200s humidifier to it, you can turn it on/off and choose the mist mode via your phone.
In addition to that, you can set the target humidity level from 30% to 80% in auto mode and create a schedule or timer.
After trying out various smart products, I found that not every APP is easy to use. But this VeSync app is well-developed, and you can get the hang of it quickly.
However, throughout my test, we found that the reading of the humidistat is not so accurate. Sometimes it would be a bit higher or lower. You can’t expect it to maintain the humidity level at a specific number you want.
This model is also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant.
It is compatible with essential oil
In most cases, you can’t put essential oil in a humidifier. But you can do it with this Levoit humidifier.
As per my experience, most humidifiers that claim to have a diffusion feature will have an oil tray, but you can directly add essential oil to the base with this 200s model. Another model we found that has the same function is the Homech HM-AH004 humidifier.
It works just as well as a standard diffuser. But we recommend you clean it more frequently in this case.

While humidification performance is essential, aesthetical value is also important when choosing a humidifier.
Personally, I like the design of this Levoit 200s humidifier very much. The combination of a semi-transparent water tank and a white base is so simple and sleek that it can blend seamlessly with any decor. You no longer have to worry about color matching.
With a size of 11.8″H x 7.1″W x 7.1″D, its footprint is small, allowing you to put it on any table you want. Even better, based on my observations, it will not get everything wet.
In front of the base, there is a small rounded display with two buttons on either side – one for power and the other for mist level. If you don’t want to explore other functions, you can simply use the mist level button to switch between low, high, and auto settings.
The display will show you the humidity level, mist level, no water indicator (red), and if it is connected to the APP. The light of the display can be turned off through your mobile phone.
It is worth mentioning that this model doesn’t come with a nightlight.
